So I dusted off my sewing machine - I don't think it's seen the light of day since the summer...Anyways, I have a new New Years Resolution - I am not going to buy any gifts for anyone this year - or I'm not going to buy the "whole" gift - I'm going to have to make some part of it. Which means more crafting. But I have ulterior motives - 1) It keeps me off the couch (except for my knitting), 2) It keeps me from eating, 3) It keeps my mind creating!
So first up is our niece's birthday: I found this beautiful Alexander Henry fabric on the remnant table and paired it with some fabric I bought for a dress that I was going to make LO (don't worry, I saved the Alexander Henry fabric for a dress for LO - it's the top fabric).
The "bloomers" for underneath - I thought the dress would be too short:
Now to finish that mei tai for my cousin and the dress for LO.
Update: This is the one I made LO this past summer - it was a little big and it's meant to grow with her:
It makes a complete circle:
Here is the tute to make the dress - it takes a while, but it's well worth it in the end!
